Corneal topometry

Pentacam

Is a rotative Scheimpflug Camera that captures axial section images of the eye's anterior pole. Scheimpflug technique provides clear and high-resolution images from the anterior corneal surface up to the posterior pole of the crystalline capsule.

Pentacam offers an optimal analysis of:

  • general screening
  • refractive surgery and corneal pathology
  • glaucoma screening
  • cataract surgery

Pentacam provides important data on the anterior pole analysis:

  • anterior and posterior corneal topography
  • corneal limb by limb pachimetry
  • crystalline density
(quantifies the light transmission for crystalline and IOL)
  • anterior pole tomography
  • 3D analysis of the anterior chamber
    (ACD-map, chamber angle, chamber volume)
