Computerized perimetry

Static computerized perimetry (CP)
Visual field (VF)

It represents a new method in functional testing of perception ability of the visual system (achromat, blue on yellow, flicker) by displaying different intensities and space locations, precisely determined, on the surface of a cupola. The aim is to find out the minimum stimuli detected by the patient on each point (threshold sensitivity).

The visual field analysis is important:

  • to detect the field failures (scotomae) in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, AMD and other sever neuroophtalmological diseases
  • estimation of the ophtalmological diseases' evolution (stagnation, functional regression or progressive deterioration with visual function loss)
